Willemijn Zevenhuijzen
Willemijn Zevenhuijzen (Zuidhorn, 1976) has recently joined the team at Theater Artemis, after having worked on a few different Artemis plays as an actor and co-creator (War, How the grown-ups left and what happened next, (……) A show that doesn’t give a shit about its own vague title). Besides working as an actress at multiple companies, she has put on a number of remarkable plays on the fringes of our craft (Parasite, Assholism) with her own company Pink Flamingoo, and made the children’s hit Eitje for MAAStd. She also teaches an acting class at the HKU regularly, and a mime class in Amsterdam, and is often approached by young creators in need of a sounding board.
Willemijn will be creating performances at Theater Artemis. She enjoys creating outside of the confines of the stage itself, and often acts in these performances. She will also remain active as an actor in other Artemis performances, and is closely involved with art projects and the recruitment and mentoring of young talent.
Willemijn Zevenhuijsen, Jetse Batelaan and Liesbet Swings are the artistic leadership of Theater Artemis.
