ARTEMIS & HET HOUTEN HUIS RETURN REAL WOMEN WOULD RUN IN RAINPROOF GEAR

ROTONDES in Luxembourg City is the place to be for friends and family from 27 to 30 December. Four days of theatre performances, workshops and hot chocolate, filled with unforgettable moments to share with your loved ones – as a playful alternative to our constant hunting for gifts. Theatre Artemis and Het Houten Huis are present!

Behind the steamed up windows of a garden greenhouse, four men in tailored suits are doing an a capella performance of a Schubert song: “Wie schön bist du”. A woman – a real one, in high heels, red suit and a pearl necklace – is trying desperately to rid herself of her very loud crop.

Real women would run in rainproof gear is a hilarious performance directed by Jetse Batelaan [1978] and Elien van den Hoek eighteen years ago. The two share a love of sophisticated simplicity and surreal slapstick. This special, very first direction was awarded the Stad TaZ Award 2001. It proved to be a success for all ages and is now to be seen at Chreschtdeeg an de Rotondes: Saturday 28 & Sunday 29 December.

We hope to see you there!
