How do people -and theatre- survive in a world that keeps racing around us? Every time something seems important, something else is happening at the very same time. How can we still tell the difference between a major human problem and something trivial when both come rushing at us with the same sense of urgency?

Attention and distraction battle for the audience in a flood of events, big and small. One thing is drowned out by the next. People crash, puke, fall, laugh, shit and cry. No one listens anymore, or hears what anyone else is saying. Set changes come too early, guest appearances by the local ballet school too late. A performance like a busy traffic junction with no rules.

And above, below and behind all this commotion? Someone who has something important to say. Will this voice still manage to be heard in time?
