THE GREAT I AM NOT IN THE MOOD FOR THIS SHOW 4+

This wordless play for young children shows what happens when unsuspecting people are suddenly put in a literal spotlight. Right when they think they’re unobserved, they suddenly realize they’re front and center. You can’t run… you can’t hide, so you… put on a little show? But how!?

The great I’m not in the mood for this show is an upbeat, absurdist performance about watching and being watched. Extroverts have dominated the conversation long enough, and it’s about time to shine a spotlight on the shy ones. Timidly, they come out of their shell and take the audience on a careening path towards a glorious finale.

Jetse Batelaan directs his third show for ages 4 and up, and reunites with René van ‘t Hof (The man who knows it all, The invisible man) and musician Keimpe de Jong, for this special occasion performing with his Theatre Artemis Show orchestra.
