Taking inspiration from 1960s and 70s anti-consumerism performances, show ballets from popular family TV game shows and recordings of an isolated group of Papuas staring at a piece of tinfoil with puzzled looks, we are trying to answer a simple question: why do we let ourselves be taken in by shiny things?
